Our Story

Blue Frog Hoof Clay started with an OTTB mare who had feet that needed help. Like many of you, we had tried it all. Some things worked, some things didn't, but nothing was perfect. 

After using a product with copper sulfate that worked but wasn't perfect, we started to brainstorm what would make it better. It had to work, it had to stay put, and it would be nice if it didn't make a mess. 

Having biology and engineering backgrounds, with a heavy connection to ceramics, we landed on a bentonite clay formula and went from there. Over the years we tweaked our recipe until we finally had what we felt was the right blend. 

From that humble beginning we have created a line of hoof care products that solve everyday issues at a good value. The feedback we have had from horse owners across the country has made us proud. It works! 

We are a family-owned company, and our Blue Frog Hoof Care line is made right here in the USA.
